Last weekend The Oak Hill Gazette paid a visit to the City of Oak Hill office. What we discovered was another embarrassing lack of attention to detail

According to the official City of Oak Hill website. The Oak Hill Board of Commissioners meeting that was originally scheduled for April 17th has been changed to April 24th 2008.

However, Oak Hill City Manager, William H. Kraus, has neglected to change the official City of Oak Hill marquee (by the time you read this post they may have corrected this embarrassing oversight). This is another example of the City of Oak Hill failing to pay attention to the details.

The official notification and the proper notification is their marquee not their website. So is unclear what if any implications this will have on the meeting scheduled for the 24th of April. Our understanding is that in order to change the meeting time or date, there has to be proper notice. We don't think that a website post is proper notification. However, the City of Oak Hill marquee would satisfy proper notice.

It is ironic that they took the time to correctly post an event in Williamson County (with the correct time and date) on the front door but failed to adequately address their marquee. Maybe they should just take the "advertisement" down and replace it with a sheet of paper that states the correct time and date of the next Commissioners meeting.

Does anyone else see early signs of dementia in Kraus?
