Urgent Message From City of Oak Hill Mayor, Tommy Alsup

Dear Citizens of Oak Hill,

There have been 3 Oak Hill burglaries this week: Robertson Academy,
Gateway and Sewanee (and one more just over into Forrest Hills) that
occurred between 11am and 2pm.(Tuesday-Friday). It is likely that the
same suspect is involved in the four incidents. A black male, light
skinned, driving a gray Cadillac (90's). It has a Titans tag on the
back. The police have the number and are checking that lead.

Please forward this information to others you know that live in Oak Hill
and the surrounding area. The West Precinct has a description of the
person, car with tag number. Just make sure everyone is aware.

It is also unlikely that this suspect is dangerous, but he is pretty
brazen in his approach to the homes. His MO is to drive into the
driveway and knock on the front door. If he get no answer then he goes
to the back of the home, pulls on his gloves which he keeps in the trunk
of his vehicle and picks up a brick or rock and breaks out door glass and
enters the home. Suspects, who are not initially dangerous, will often
begin hurting people (or worse) as they encounter more people as they do their evil work.

There must have been homes he approached in Oak Hill when someone was home and answered to his knocks. We need to get the word out to anyone that had a unknown black male visitor, who probably offered some lame excuse for knocking. Call the west precinct at 862-7747 with any information you may have.

We should have a press release and additional information coming soon.
Also, please feel free to visit the Oak Hill web site (oakhilltn.us) for updated info.

Thanks,

Tommy Alsup

Alsup's "concern" seems a bit disingenous, as he continues to allow a convicted felon to serve as city manager - is flagrant violation of state law - TCA 40-20-114.

Who's watching the watchmen?

Someone tell Alsup there's only one 'r' in Forest Hills. Shouldn't he know that?
