Kraus Says His Time Is Not Up

THE TENNESSEAN

While Oak Hill commissioners search for a city manager, Bill Kraus said he still plans to be reinstated in the position."It's being handled through my attorney," Kraus said.
The idea of possible litigation has kept the board from acting in some cases.
The commissioners deferred approval of their July meeting's minutes because of confusion over Kraus' resignation. But still, the board is searching for a replacement.
"It's a very odd position to be in," said Commissioner Ray Throckmorton.
While serving as city manager, Kraus donated $200 to Tommy Jacobs in his bid for re-election and solicited votes for the June 10 commissioner's election.
Kraus agreed to resign in a meeting with Mayor Tommy Alsup II but later tried rescinding his retirement. He said the city's search for a replacement is a waste of time.
"That's a moot action at this point," he said.

Throckmorton said he didn't know when or how a decision would be made.
